Max
Max has been working for Onteca for the last two and a half years, including directing four short films (one of which a Film Council Virgin Short) and working on a variety of interactive projects.
Before that he was completing an MA in New Media Production at Liverpool John Moore’s University.
He has exhibited video art at the Liverpool Biennial, at the FACT centre, and Jump Ship Rat Gallery amongst other venues.
Broadcast experience includes researching for Crime Squad (2000), Newsnight (1999), and as a Production Trainee at Newsnight, Inside Story, and Video Nation (1997 -99).
Community sector work:
Steering group of the Writing on the Wall literary festival, and the Creative LETS project. Max has a degree in Jurisprudence from Oxford (and LPC from Chester) and has recently taught Media Law at degree level. Max currently is senior trainer on Onteca’s Web Design vocational course, funded by the ESF Objective One. Max is also an experienced fund-raiser, report writer and event organiser and curator of moving image exhbitions. His artistic practice resulted in work that was widely shown as part of the Liverpool Biennial and as part of Liverpool Live.
